We believe that the Message of Jesus is good news. We gather on Sunday mornings to be reminded of that. We are very diverse, but share a common belief that God’s love for us desires to produce love in us. The Parishioners are everyone and anyone that desires to be all God made them to be. At the Parish, we believe that all of us are telling God’s story of redemption through our lives. We gather every week because sometimes we need to be reminded of that. We believe in the Community Hermeneutic which simply put means we study Jesus’ teachings together and then live them out together.
The Parish is part of the Anabaptist tradition. We are proud of the Mennonite roots that helped form the Canadian BIC that we are apart of. Locally we are governed by a Serve Team who oversee the practical decisions that need to be made, and those decisions are guided by our 4 values.

Aaron is the Parish Pastor. Prior to starting the Parish, he worked as a Youth Pastor in the 90’s, Taught at Masters College and Seminary for 2 years and planted the Cedarside Gathering which he pastored for 7 years. The Parish started in January 2011 and has become a wonderful re imagining of a faith community. You can follow his blog Real Simple Faith.com here

Jon is the Minstrel of the Parish. Jon has been a musician his whole life and been apart of many bands that have played locally and across Canada. Jon is a Real Estate agent for ReMax Canada, but in his spare time gathers a talented team of Parishioners who lead us in Worship through music every sunday.

Dave Lamport is our Student Ministries Director. Dave used to be a teenager and has used that experience to keep him looking perpetually 24. Dave is starting up our new Youth Ministry at the Parish called theTRIBE. Dave and his wife Katie and their beautiful family sit on the left four rows from the back.

PARISHkids
Jill Stephens is our Children's Ministries Director. Jill is such a gifted leader in the area of Chilren's Ministries. She brings lots of experience from both large and small faith communities. We are excited that Jill and her husband Andrew and their beautiful family are a part of the Parish. The Parish runs a wonderful children’s program that happens at the same time as the PARISH. Parents are encouraged to bring there children in for the music then take them to the children’s program during our coffee time. Our Program is run according to Plan to Protect, and all of our volunteers have current police checks.
